The 81st Annual General Meeting

Yesterday Afternoon at 2pm the members of Garies Surf Life Saving Club Incorporated and Special Guests convened for  Garie Surf Life Saving Club’s 81st Annual General Meeting

In summary During the meeting …

• The minutes of the 80th Annual General Meeting were accepted,
• The Annual Report and balance sheet for the 2022/23 Season was presented, and discussed
• A motion to amend the constitution for the puropose of compliance with the charities act was Moved and Seconded.
• Board positions, and officers for the 2023/24 season were elected

At the conclusion of the business of the Annual general meeting the special guests, Maryanne Stuart MP, Jenny Ware MP, and Alyssa Hancock, President of Surf Life Saving Sydney Branch, were invited to share their comments on the past season.

Each of the special guests praised the members for their resilience and hard work throughout the season, and they congratulated them on the successful outcome. In particular, they acknowledged the remarkable achievement of having no drownings at Wattamolla, emphasizing that it was the first time in a long time that such a positive outcome had been achieved.

Additionally, Maryanne Stuart MP took the opportunity to update the attendees on the progress of Garie Road, demonstrating her commitment to supporting the members of Garie Surf Lifesaving Club.
